Discarded hubcaps are documented in situ before being removed, cast in concrete, and reconstructed in cob using materials sourced from the urban landscape. Each reconstruction is intended to be returned to the location where the original was found, replacing a manufactured object with one made by hand from the city's own geological resources.

Locate a discarded hubcap.

Record the site.

Cast the form in concrete.

Reconstruct in cob.

Return it to where it was found.

Allow the city to reclaim it.
